Observation

Our group has observed that some cars have 1 license plates and other cars have 2 license plates.

Genral Information

The following states only require 1 license plate, Alabama, Arizone, Delaware, Arkansas, Flordia, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan,Tennessee, Mississippi, New Mexico, both North and South Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia (*Rhode Island accepts either rear or both license plates). So all of the other states require 2 license plates, which includes Ohio. License plates should be mounted to the car in the proper place (the bumpers) in a manner that is free of obstruction.Automobile manufacturers are prohibited by law from distributing cars with only one license plate in states that require both. If you have violated license plate laws, it will usually result in a traffic ticket. Besides a traffic ticket, a violation of a license plate provision can sometimes be accompanied by a fine, usually from $100-$200. It depends on where your at, but in Ohio you should see a majority of cars with 2 license plates, but if you where to go to Kansas you would see a majority of cars with 1 license plate because they only need 1 license plate.

Prediction

If we go to Bridge Water and Dayton Mall to check cars with 2 license plates, we will find that 90% of the cars will have both license plates.

Experiment:
Two groups went to two different shopping centers and collected data.
The Bridgewater Falls group collected data from 150 cars and only 3 had one license plates.
The Dayton Mall group also collected data from 150 cars and only 4 one license plates.


Conclusion:
After analyzing the data we concluded that only two and a third percent out of three hundred cars only had one license plates, which shows that our hypothesis was correct.

Hypothesis

We think that 9 out of 10 cars at Bridgewater and Dayton Mall will have 2 license plates.
